The Miami Dolphins picked up their third win of the 2012 season when they defeated the St. Louis Rams, 17-14, on Sunday. The Dolphins struggled with penalties and other miscues at times, and they did not get much support from the ground game, but as The Phinsider's Kevin Nogle notes in the video below, the team got a good performance from rookie quarterback Ryan Tannehill. Tannehill completed 21 of 29 pass attempts and posted the highest quarterback rating of his young career.
Kevin also highlights a few key plays that helped turn the game in Miami's favor, including a fake punt and a last-minute sack that forced St. Louis to attempt a 66-yard game-tying field goal.
The Rams racked up 462 total yards to Miami's 192, but St. Louis lost the turnover battle and also missed three field goal attempts in a row. St. Louis field goal kicker Greg Zuerlein was 15-for-15 on the season before his string of misses.
