Dolphins bye week review

Miami has some extra time to make improvements.

Steve Mitchell-US PRESSWIRE

The Miami Dolphins were off during Week 7, giving them time to regroup and prepare for their Week 8 game against the New York Jets. Miami took a two-game winning streak into the bye, and its 3-3 record was good enough for a share of first in the AFC East at the time.

In the video below, Kevin Nogle from The Phinsider has a few suggestions for what the Dolphins should be focusing on with the extra time off. He would like to see veteran wide receiver Jabar Gaffney activated prior to the Jets game; Gaffney was signed between Week 4 and Week 5 and has been trying to learn the Miami offense. Nogle would also like to see the Dolphins fix some issues with their run defense that were apparent in the win over St. Louis. The Rams ran for 162 yards on a defense that is only giving up an average of 78.2 rushing yards per game.
