The Miami Dolphins claimed wide receiver Armon Binns off waivers from the Cincinnati Bengals on Monday. Binns had been placed on waivers by the Bengals in order to free up a roster spot for Kyle Cook. The Bengals had hoped to bring back Binns in some capacity, but for now they are denied that opportunity.
Binns has 18 receptions for 210 yards and one touchdown in eight games this season. But he was inactive for four of Cincinnati's last six games and hasn't caught a pass since Oct. 14. His best performance of the season came in Week 2, when he grabbed five passes for 66 yards.
He went undrafted in 2011 and first signed with the Jacksonville Jaguars, then joined the Cincinnati practice squad in September of 2011. Binns racked up over 2,000 receiving yards during his college career and scored 21 touchdowns.
The Dolphins return to the field to take on the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 15.
