2012 NFL Power Rankings: Dolphins rise, Bucs fall

Miami's win over Jacksonville coupled with Tampa Bay's loss to Jacksonville was enough to catapult the Dolphins ahead of the Bucs in power rankings throughout the internet.

Week 15 has come and gone in the NFL, leaving just two weeks left in the regular season. Unfortunately for fans of any of the three Florida teams, it means that there are just two games left in your team's season, as the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Miami Dolphins and Jacksonville Jaguars will not factor into the playoff picture.

Still, there is football left to be played, and Week 15 showcased a Dolphins win over Chad Henne's Jags, as well as a Tampa Bay loss to New Orleans. The latest power rankings around the internet now have the Dolphins as Florida's best team.

Over at ESPN, the Buccaneers fell another two spots after being throttled by the Saints in New Orleans. After being on the verge of a playoff spot just two weeks ago, Tampa Bay has lost games in consecutive weeks to Philadelphia and New Orleans, ending any realistic chance at a playoff berth.

Miami's win over Jacksonville bumped the Dolphins up two spots, to No. 19, while the Jaguars remained the No. 31 team in the league.

At FOX Sports, the Dolphins are also ranked No. 19 -- but jumped up three spots this week, rather than two from ESPN. Similarly, Tampa Bay fell three spots to No. 21, while the Jaguars moved down one spot to No. 31.

Here at SB Nation, the Dolphins are also the No. 19 team in the league, while the Buccaneers are the No. 22 team. Jacksonville remains the No. 31 team in the league, only ranked ahead of the inept Kansas City Chiefs.
