Second Quarter Update: Eagles Vs. Dolphins

All of the momentum that the Dolphins had in the first quarter completely dissipated in the second quarter. WR DeSean Jackson set up McCoy on the one yard line after an eight yard catch and Koa Misi stopped McCoy at the goal line. On the next play, McCoy rushes behind the left tackle for a touchdown.

On the next Dolphins possession, LB Casey Matthews sacked Moore for a seven yard loss, forcing a Dolphins punt. On the punt, DeSean Jackson fielded the punt on the left side of the field and lateralled the ball all the way to the right side of the field, where the ball was caught by Eagles CB Curtis Marsh. On the ensuing play, DE Jason Babin put a spin move on T Marc Colombo and sacked Moore, causing a fumble, which the Eagles recovered.

Looking to capitalize on the Dolphins' third turnover of the day, QB Michael Vick began the drive by passing to TE Brent Celek for a nine yard gain. After McCoy rushed for a first down, Vick passed the ball to WR Jason Avant for a 28 yard gain. On the next play, Vick found Jackson open in the end zone for a 34-yard touchdown. Jackson beat S Yeremiah Bell, who was expecting help from CB Vontae Davis on the outside.

The Dolphins offensive troubles continued as they failed to convert a fourth down and 1 around midfield. RB Lex Hilliard rushed up the middle and an official replay confirmed the ruling on the field.
