The Miami Dolphins are hosting the New York Jets on New Year's Day and hoping to come away from the 2011 NFL season with one last big win.
The third quarter was largely uneventful for both teams as the defenses completely contained the opposing offense. Miami quarterback Matt Moore finally put together a significant drive for the Dolphins in the closing minutes of the third quarter. The Dolphins traveled over 70 yards and found themselves just inside the red zone in the opening minute of the fourth quarter. Miami continued the lengthy push toward the end zone until the 94-yard, 21-play drive came to an end with a touchdown pass from Moore to Charles Clay.
The Dolphins hold a 13-10 lead in the fourth quarter thanks to a long drive that burned up 12:29 of game time.
