NFL Free Agency 2012: Chad Henne, Tony Sparano Reunion Looks Imminent

Miami Dolphins free agent quarterback Chad Henne is expected to reunite with former Phins head coach Tony Sparano, now the offensive coordinator for the New York Jets, once free agency begins on Tuesday, March 13. According to ESPN New York, Henne is still believed to be interested in Henne, despite the contract extension given to Mark Sanchez over the weekend.

Henne has been linked to the Jets in the recent past, after Sparano took the job there. The team reportedly wants a young quarterback to compete with Mark Sanchez, pushing him with the threat of losing his starting role.

Of course, Sanchez just received a three-year, $40.5 million contract extension from the Jets, so benching him for any lengthy amount of time seems unreasonable.

The Dolphins have Matt Moore, but are one of several teams interested in free agent quarterback Peyton Manning.
