NFL Free Agency: Yeremiah Bell Could Return To Dolphins?

Safety Yeremiah Bell was released a few days ago. This was after he was made assured by Miami Dolphins general manager Jeff Ireland at the scouting combine that he would remain a Dolphin with no restructuring of his current contract. But even after that promise was broken and Bell was released for salary cap reasons, there is still a possibility that Bell could return to the Dolphins.

In an interview on WQAM's Joe Rose Show, Bell's agent Drew Rosenhaus expressed disappointment at how Bell's situation played out in Miami, but also mentioned that there is the possibility that the safety could return to his original team.

There is interest, and maybe there's a chance he'll come back to the Dolphins. I certainly will not get into the way that I feel. Let us just move on.

While Rosenhaus did not address a possible return further, he went on to give glowing reviews to Bell about his work ethic, his leadership in the locker room and the fact that he thinks there's a lot of good football left to be played by him.

The Dolphins are currently $7 million under the salary cap, so there's little chance that Bell could be resigned at his old salary of $4.3 million. The New England Patriots appear to have interest in signing Bell as do a few other teams.
