Dolphins OTAs: Rookie Jonathan Martin Arrives For Workouts

Rookie offensive lineman Jonathan Martin has finally arrived to join OTAs with the Miami Dolphins. Martin had been back at Stanford finishing up his final exams, and during that time he had missed two weeks of voluntary workouts with his new team.

Martin was with the team in May at a mini-camp, but that is the last time he was with the Dolphins. He says he has been training out on the West Coast, but nothing has prepared him for the humidity in Florida.

Martin does feels that he will be able to pickup the system rather quickly:

"I fell a little behind some of the adjustments they've been making in pass protection especially," Martin said. "Basic play is still the same so I feel pretty good."

"I don't think it will take very long," Martin said. "There's a lot of similarities between Coach (Joe) Philbin's offense and my offense back at Stanford, both West Coast. The calls are a little bit different, but it's the same basic ideas. I think I'll be all right."
