Dolphins Training Camp: Ryan Tannehill Holdout Means More David Garrard, Matt Moore Under Center

Miami Dolphins training camp began this week, with one major component missing: the number eight pick in the 2012 NFL Draft, quarterback Ryan Tannehill. The former Texas A&M Aggie has yet to reach an agreement with Dolphins management, with no imminent deal expected.

With Tannehill not on the field to take snaps as the future of the franchise, the two other signal callers on the roster will battle for the starting job. Via Mike Berardino of the Miami Sun Sentinel:

If this holdout drags on much longer, get used to dealing with large doses of Moore and/or Garrard this season.

That's probably how it's going to go anyway as Tannehill tries to smooth out his rough edges and adjust to the speed of the pro game.

Just in the first 24 hours of Tannehill's holdout, he missed a full morning practice, an afternoon walkthrough, multiple meetings and an offensive install that included 96 slides.

The longer Tannehill holds out, the more likely Matt Moore or David Garrard start the season at quarterback for Miami. Brace yourself, Dolphins fans.
