Dolphins Training Camp News: Ryan Tannehill Offers His Take On The Starting QB Situation

The Miami Dolphins opened training camp last week, complete with camera crews from HBO's Hard Knocks on hand to document the whole thing. Among the most interesting plots unfolding in front of the cameras this summer is the quarterback battle, where first-round pick Ryan Tannehill starts camp on the outside looking in on the starting job.

Tannehill maintained a positive outlook on the situation in comments to the media following practice Sunday. He commented on the race for the starting job:

"I feel like I'm in it. Maybe I am being naïve, but the coaches haven't given me any indication that I'm not, so I'm going to go out there every day and do my best to get better every day and hopefully win the job."

Tannehill also gave his practice session a positive grade:

"I didn't think it was too bad. I still have some things to work on; being a little better with my feet, stepping up into the pocket, being faster in my drops. I thought it was a good starting point and I am excited to get back out there tomorrow and get a little better."
