Dolphins Training Camp: Ryan Tannehill Off To A Good Start

With the HBO "Hard Knocks" cameras following every move of a three quarterback battle to start for the Miami Dolphins, rookie first round draft pick, Ryan Tannehill, is turning heads early in South Beach, according to reports. According to Ben Volin of the Palm Beach Post, "it's been hard not to notice" how well Tannehill has thrown the football so far.

New Dolphins head coach Joe Philbin seemed to agree with Volin, telling Miami media on Monday that the rookie had 53 "competitive snaps" during the Monday practice.

"I thought he threw the ball very well on Sunday," Philbin said. "Today, we missed a couple plays early. We had a couple opportunities for big plays we didn't convert on. For a rookie quarterback, I think he's doing very well."

Evan Silva of ProFootballTalk sounds sold on the young quarterback as well saying Tuesday, "You can take it to the bank that he will start games at some point this year."
