David Garrard has impressed many with his play at quarterback during training camp, with the latest being Peter King of Sports Illustrated.
In his "postcard" from Dolphins camp, King called Garrard one of the top-four quarterbacks he's seen on his travels so far, putting him ahead of more established signal callers including Peyton Manning.
Why would he put a quarterback that was out of football in 2011 ahead of a future Hall-of-Famer? King says it comes from Garrard's ability to adapt to the new offense so quickly.
"He was terrific consistently through practice, hitting a bomb to promising free agent Roberto Wallace down the right side, throwing well on the run across his body, and, in general, looking extremely comfortable in a West Coast offense, which is new for him."
It appears as if Garrard is well on his way to winning the starting job at quarterback for the Dolphins.
