NFL Injury Report: Concussion Could Sideline Dolphins RB Daniel Thomas

Miami Dolphins running back Daniel Thomas suffered a concussion in the second quarter of his team's game against Houston on Sunday and may not be available in Week 2. Thomas was injured on a hit by Texans safety Glover Quin; the hit caused a fumble, which the Texans recovered and quickly converted into points.

Miami head coach Joe Philbin spoke about Thomas on Monday but declined to offer any specifics. The team will release an updated status report on Wednesday.

Thomas finished the game with three carries for 11 yards and one reception for 32 yards. His absence could mean that rookie Lamar Miller gets his first opportunity to play.
