Miami Dolphins Sign Veteran DT Ryan Baker

The Miami Dolphins have signed veteran defensive tackle Ryan Baker, according to their official website.

Baker was with the team through training camp, and was one of the final players cut before the regular season.

The Dolphins have decided to bring the former Purdue standout back on the roster, as backup Tony McDaniel continues to nurse a leg injury.

Baker played two games for the Dolphins last season before they cut him in September. They then decided to bring him back in late November.

This will be Ryan Baker's fourth season in the NFL, and he has spent them all with the Dolphins. He joined the team in 2009 after going undrafted.

Baker will likely serve as a backup to Randy Starks and Paul Soliai this week, when the Dolphins take on the Oakland Raiders.
