Dolphins Injury Report: Long, Jerry Limited While Hartline and Shelby Return To Full Participation

Injuries limited key Miami Dolphins players during Thursday's practice as the Dolphins prepared for their opening week battle with the Houston Texans.

Left tackle Jake Long, who is battling knee injuries, was limited for the second straight day at practice, while right guard John Jerry's ankle kept him from participating fully. A duo of linebackers — Koa Misi (back) and Jason Trusnik (ankle) — also saw their reps limited in practice Thursday.

The Dolphins saw some key play makers return to full practice, as defensive end Derrick Shelby, who was battling shoulder injuries, returned to full participation during Thursday. Wide receiver Brian Hartline also returned in full on Thursday.

The Texans are battling injuries of their own, as Houston running back Arian Foster, linebacker Brian Cushing and tight end Owen Daniels were all limited. Daniels was fighting an illness. A handful of Texans, including wide receiver Andre Johnson and defensive end J.J. Watt, returned to full Texans practice on Thursday.
