Dolphins Vs. Texans Injury Report: Houston Banged Up For Opener

The Miami Dolphins open the 2012 NFL season on the road Sunday against the Houston Texans, and the Dolphins' injury report reads much thinner than their opponent's.

The only player listed as questionable on the official injury report for the Dolphins is second-string defensive end Tony McDaniel (toes, knees). Wide receiver Brian Hartline, guard John Jerry, offensive tackle Jake Long, linebacker Koa Misi, defensive end Derrick Shelby and linebacker Jason Trusnik are all listed as probable. Jerry, Long and Misi are all first-string players, and they all participated in practice on Friday.

Houston's injury report goes a bit deeper. Questionable are running back Arian Foster (knee) and linebackers Brooks Reed (hip) and Bryan Braman (hamstring). Among those listed as probable for the Texans are defensive tackle Shaun Cody, wide receiver Andre Johnson, linebacker Brian Cushing, tight end Owen Daniels, safety Shiloh Keo, center Chris Myers, running back Ben Tate and defensive end J.J. Watt.

Foster and Reed were both injured during practice Thursday. Foster left practice early Thursday after complaining of knee soreness. An MRI was negative, but he did not practice Friday.

The Dolphins kick off against Houston on Sunday at 1 p.m. ET on CBS.
