The Miami Heat and Orlando Magic are both in action this weekend, with the Heat taking on the Phoenix Suns Sunday and the Magic with two games on the docket.
Miami will be coming off a hard-fought win against the Denver Nuggets on Thursday night, the first time the Heat have won in Denver in 10 years. LeBron James had 27 points and 12 assists for the Heat, who did not have Dwyane Wade in the lineup due to a foot injury.
Phoenix will be on the second half of a back-to-back, as they face the Los Angeles Lakers on Friday night. However, Mike D'Antoni will not be coaching against his former team. The Suns are 4-5 on the season.
Orlando will be on the road all weekend, traveling to Detroit to take on the Pistons Friday before a battle against the Toronto Raptors on Sunday. The Magic have lost five straight after a 2-0 start.
Elsewhere in the Southeast Division, Atlanta faces Sacramento Friday, while Washington (vs. Utah) and Charlotte (vs. Memphis) both host games on Saturday. Nationally, the aforementioned D'Antoni is expected to make his Lakers coaching debut on Sunday against the Houston Rockets.
