It's a light week for the defending champion Miami Heat, who return to the court for a marquee matchup against the San Antonio Spurs on Thursday. Both teams are off to strong starts to the season -- they are a combined 21-6.
The Orlando Magic also have a game against the Spurs this week -- they'll meet on Wednesday.
Elsewhere on the NBA schedule, eight games are set for Monday night, including a matchup between the New York Knicks and Brooklyn Nets. Those teams are fighting for first place in the Atlantic Division.
Five games are on the schedule Tuesday, while 11 games will be played Wednesday. Some matchups of note: Dallas is up against Philadelphia and the Lakers host the Pacers on Tuesday; the Nets travel to Boston on Wednesday, while the streaking Hawks host the surprising Charlotte Bobcats.
