Miami Heat forward Shane Battier is still nursing a knee injury, having missed practice on Wednesday. According to a tweet by Michael Wallace of ESPN, Battier is currently listed as doubtful for Thursday's game against the San Antonio Spurs.
Battier hurt his knee in last week's win against the Cleveland Cavaliers when a teammate fell into him during the third quarter. Battier immediately hopped off the court and into the locker room and did not return to the game that night. The Heat have not played since their game against the Cavaliers so Battier has been receiving treatment for the injury.
So far this season, Battier has averaged seven points and 2.5 rebounds per game through 13 games played this season. The Heat are scheduled to play the Spurs on Thursday night at AmericanAirlines Arena with the tip off scheduled for 8 p.m. The game will be televised nationally on TNT.
