San Antonio Spurs Visit Miami Heat: Game 13 Preview

Miami looks to shake off a three game losing streak tonight against the San Antonio Spurs at the AA Arena in Miami.

The Miami Heat will be hosting the San Antonio Spurs at the AA Arena tonight. It's the only meeting this season between the two teams. The Heat are 3-1 at home, San Antonio carries an 0-4 road record into the game. For the Heat, this is the first game of a five game homestand. After tonight's matchup, they go on to host the Los Angeles Lakers on Thursday, the Philadelphia 76ers on Saturday, the Milwaukee Bucks on Sunday and the Cleveland Cavaliers next Tuesday. The Spurs will be starting a short two game road trip against Miami, and go on to face the Orlando Magic tomorrow night. San Antonio is not only winless on the road, they also boast a 9-0 home record. Miami is hoping to rebound from a losing streak, currently at three games.

The two teams last met on March 14th of last season. Miami posted a 110-80 victory that night, outscoring the Spurs in each of the four quarters. Chris Bosh led Miami with 30 points and 12 rebounds, Dwyane Wade scored 29 points and LeBron James added 21 for the Heat. Tony Parker led four Spurs in double figures with 18.

Miami dropped a 117-104 decision Friday night to the Denver Nuggets. LeBron James led six Miami players in double figures with 35 points. Udonis Haslem added 12 points and 11 rebounds for the Heat. Ty Lawson scored 24 points and nine assists for the Nuggets. Nene pitched in 17 points and 12 rebounds.

The Spurs are coming off a 102-91 victory over the Phoenix Suns on Sunday. Tim Duncan led four Spurs in double figures with 24 points and 11 rebounds. Marcin Gortat scored 24 points and grabbed 15 rebounds to lead Phoenix in the losing effort.
