The Miami Heat Up Big At Halftime Vs Cleveland Cavaliers: 63-38

The Miami Heat, visiting LeBron James' former stopping grounds for the first time this season, have taken a commanding halftime lead 63-38. The 63 points allowed by the Cleveland Cavaliers is tied for the most they have allowed at a halftime all season. Led by Dwyane Wade and LeBron James, the Heat held the Cavs to 14 points in the first quarter and 34% shooting for the half.

Wade led the violent first half scoring barrage, tallying 18 points on only 6 shots. James followed suit and added 12 points and 5 rebounds.

The Heat in general have been shooting lights out from 3-point range; they have made 8 of 12 shots, including 3 makes from Mario Chalmers. Fittingly, Wade also notched his first 3 point shot of the season midway through the second period.

After struggling in the first quarter, the Cavaliers improved considerably as the game went on. Ramon Sessions leads his team from the bench with 9 points and rookie sensation Kyrie Irving, in his second game back from a concussion, has 8 points.

What to watch for in the second half: Look for the Heat to come out strong in the third quarter and leave little doubt about the outcome at the commence of the fourth. The Heat have a revenge game against Orlando coming up on Sunday and I'm sure LeBron and Wade would like a little rest before the match-up.
