Magic Vs. Heat Score Update: Dwyane Wade Leads Miami To 12-Point Halftime Lead Over Orlando

After one half at American Airlines Arena, the Miami Heat lead the Orlando Magic 43-31 in a Sunday afternoon national showcase. Miami jumped out to a an early ten-point lead in the first quarter before Orlando mounted a comeback and actually took a lead three minutes into the second quarter. The Heat then took control of the game over the final nine minutes of the second quarter for the 12-point lead at the break.

Dwyane Wade had a huge first quarter and led all scorers with 19 points in the first 24 minutes. Wade dominated the first quarter with an array of highlights, including two monster alley-oop dunks from LeBron James. James finished the half with nine points, six rebounds, and four assists and helped close out the half for Miami on a 19-4 run.

Orlando had another brutal offensive quarter, scoring just 12 points in the second. The Magic had one streak of three-pointers but that was it for offensive rhythm. Dwight Howard was held relatively in check and scored just six points while grabbing five rebounds.
