April hasn't been particularly kind to the Miami Heat.

The Heat have gone just 4-4 over the last two weeks, including a disappointing 96-86 overtime loss to the Chicago Bulls on Thursday, which will do much to prevent them from securing the No. 1 seed in the Eastern Conference.

Following a 23-point win over the woeful Charlotte Bobcats on Friday, the hope is that the 41-win Heat can at least make one final push before the playoffs commence later this month.

They'll have to do that starting today against the New York Knicks, who have won their last 10 games at Madison Square Garden. Miami has dropped eight of its last nine games against teams with a winning record. But it has won its two meetings against New York this season.

The return of Dwyane Wade should help. The All-Star guard missed Friday's game against the Bobcats because of a sprained right ankle but is expected to play against New York.

The Heat (41-17) currently trail the Bulls (45-14) by 3.5 games.
