NBA pundits have been talking about the possibility of Boston Celtics guard Ray Allen signing with the Miami Heat as a free agent before the finals were finished. Alex Kennedy from Hoopsworld was the latest to chime in on the Allen talk. Kennedy tweeted this late on Tuesday:
The general consensus around the NBA is that Ray Allen will sign with Miami. "Barring a change, he'll join the Heat," said a league source.

Prior reports had the Los Angeles Clippers and New York Knicks as possible destinations as well. Those reports surfaced before Miami won the championship.
Allen is a five-time All-Star in the twilight of his career. He turns 37 in July. He averaged more than 14 points per game and 34 minutes of playing time. Both stats are a drop off from the year before, but he still proved to be an important part of a Boston team that took Miami to seven games in the playoffs this year.
