The Miami Hurricanes head out on the road for a marquee non-conference game in Week 6. The Canes will travel to Chicago for a showdown with Notre Dame at Soldier Field. Al Golden's group enters on a three-game winning streak, rebounding from the beating they took in Manhattan.
The Irish, however, are undefeated after an impressive September that vaulted them into the top 10 in the polls. Brian Kelly's offense is led by dynamic young quarterback Everett Golson, a dual-threat option who seems to get better with each start. Veteran Tommy Rees can also be called upon at any moment, coming in as a de-facto closer for Kelly. But the defense, led by Manti Te'o, has been the biggest reason for the Irish resurgence, shutting down their four opponents in the first month of the season. They're holding opposing offenses to just 9 points per game, which is third-best in the country.
The game will be played under the lights in Chicago, with NBC carrying the broadcast in primetime.
Game time, TV channel: 7:30 p.m. ET, NBC
