The Miami Hurricanes will be a slight underdog when they visit the Virginia Cavaliers this Saturday. According to OddsShark, the Cavaliers are favored by one point. The total is currently set at 52 points.
Both Miami and Virginia have had their struggles this season, especially on the defensive side of the ball. The Hurricanes are giving up 30.1 points per game, while the Cavaliers are at 28.1 points per game allowed. Although neither offense is all that explosive, the poor defenses could lead to a high-scoring affair.
Miami has done well against the spread, sporting a 6-3 mark. On the other hand, Virginia has been a train wreck, going 1-7-1. The Cavaliers have not covered a spread at home yet this season.
Miami has lost the last two meetings between the two teams, despite being huge favorites in both games. The Hurricanes were 13.5-point favorite before their 28-21 home loss to Virginia last season.
