Top linebacker prospect Reuben Foster is considering the Miami Hurricanes after he decommitted from Auburn on Friday. The Tigers recently made a coaching change, firing Gene Chizik and replacing him with Gus Malzahn from Arkansas State. Foster is also considering Washington, Georgia and LSU, according to what he told Scout.com.
Foster is considered the top linebacker prospect in the class of 2013 by both Scout and Rivals. He is also rated a five-star prospect by both services; Rivals believes he is the No. 6 overall prospect in the class.
Scout's Chad Simmons calls Foster an "instinctive linebacker" who can "move side-to-side with great quickness."
Miami currently has nine commitments in its 2013 class, and none of the players committed are linebackers. The Hurricanes are still waiting to hear from the NCAA about the impending sanctions against the school, which may hinder recruiting efforts with Foster and other top prospects in the region.
