With the exception of an embarrassing, 52-13, loss to No. 7 Kansas State, the Miami Hurricanes have been able to score a lot of points in 2012. After a slow start in the first two weeks, the N.C. State Wolfpack can say the same after back-to-back dominating victories.
However, it will be the Hurricanes that enter as slight favorites in their third ACC game as they look to increase their Coastal Division lead. The Wolfpack though, have yet to see the field in ACC play and are coming off wins over relatively weak opponents in South Alabama and The Citadel.
To get a third win in conference play, the Hurricanes could definitely use another strong performance from freshman running back Duke Johnson. With 320 rushing yards and four touchdowns through four games, he trails only Andre Ellington and Chris Thompson in rushing yards/game among running backs in the conference.
They'll have to be sure to slow N.C. State's junior quarterback who ranks second in the ACC in passing yards/game and leads the conference in touchdown passes with 11.
Time, Location: Saturday, Sept. 29 at 12 p.m. ET, Sun Life Stadium, Miami, Florida
Coverage: ESPNU
Spread: Miami is favored by 3 points
