Miami Hurricanes wide receiver Malcolm Lewis will miss the rest of the 2012 season after dislocating an ankle against Georgia Tech on Saturday. Lewis suffered the injury while being tackled to the ground during the first quarter.

Hurricanes' head coach Al Golden said that Lewis is in "great spirits" under the circumstances, though the freshman is probably going to need surgery to fully repair the ankle. Golden wasn't sure about Lewis' eligibility for a medical redshirt.
Lewis made eight receptions for 73 yards and one touchdown this season. The true freshman, who was a four-star prospect out of high school, is seventh on the team in both receptions and receiving yardage.
The 3-1 Miami Hurricanes look to stay undefeated in ACC play when they face NC State this week.
