Mets vs. Marlins: Game time, TV schedule, and more

The Miami Marlins have struggled all season, but at least they're third in the league in stolen bases.

Steve Mitchell-US PRESSWIRE - Presswire

The Marlins will try to end their season with a sweep of the New York Mets on Wednesday. The wins are meaningless in the standings, though it would be the first Marlins sweep since July 1.

The Marlins will give Tom Koehler the ball. For the former Stony Brook standout it will be his first career start. Koehler has appeared in seven games this year as a reliever.

The Mets will counter with Jeremy Hefner, who has been great at times, and ghastly at others. In his last start, the rookie held the Pirates to just three hits and no runs in seven solid innings. The start before that, Hefner was charged with seven earned runs and was chased out by the Phillies before retiring a single batter.

Some have speculated that this could be Ozzie Guillen's final game as manager of the Marlins. Miami will finish the season in last place for the second consecutive season.

Wednesday's game starts at 4:10 and will air on FSFL.
