Giancarlo Stanton unhappy with Marlins trade

Miami Marlins outfielder Giancarlo Stanton is none too happy with the Miami Marlins-Toronto Blue Jays trade.

A lot of Miami Marlins fans are upset with the team's trading of players such as pitcher Mark Buehrle and shortstop Jose Reyes to the Toronto Blue Jays. One person that was most vocal with his displeasure about the trade was Marlins outfielder Giancarlo Stanton.

The slugger had arguably the most notable reaction on twitter to the Marlins' move:

@Giancarlo818: Alright, I'm pissed off!!! Plain & Simple

After a season in which Stanton hit .290 and recorded 37 home runs with 86 RBIs, he now stands as the team's only bona fide superstar. The Marlins currently have Stanton under contract until 2016, but a move like this could make Stanton hesitant to accept a long-term contract deal even if the Marlins offer one. There is also concern that this move could hurt the Marlins when it comes to pursuing other free agents.

Other reactions on twitter ranged from angry to funny. Washington Nationals outfielder, and recently named NL rookie of the year Bryce Harper, invited Stanton to join the NL East Champions:
