The Miami Marlins dropped their final game with the Cincinnati Reds on Sunday when Heath Bell gave up two runs in the ninth inning. The Marlins will now make their way to Citizens Bank Park to take on the Philadelphia Phillies for the first game of a three-game series. Miami will trot out Anibal Sanchez to the mound and hope their big bats in Jose Reyes, Giancarlo Stanton, and Hanley Ramirez can get going.
The Marlins will look to pick up their second win of the season, but they'll be taking on Cole Hamels in the Phillies home opener. Like the Marlins, the Phillies have struggled out of the gate without some of their bigger bats in Ryan Howard and Chase Utley in their lineup and are coming off back-to-back losses to the Pittsburgh Pirates.
Starting Pitchers:
Miami: Sanchez (0-0, 0.00 ERA)
Philadelphia: Hamels (0-0, 0.00 ERA)
Game Time: 1:05 PM ET, April 9, 2012
Location: Citizens Bank Park, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
TV: CSN, FOX FLORIDA
