The Miami Marlins have been in a freefall after taking two of three games from the Philadelphia Phillies at the start of June. Since their win over Philadelphia on June 3, The Marlins have lost 10 of their last 12 games, putting them six games behind the NL East-leading Washington Nationals and at an even 33-33 record.

Pitcher Mark Buehrle (5-7, 3.41 ERA) will take the mound for Miami on Tuesday night in the first of a three-game series with the Boston Red Sox at Fenway Park. Buehrle gets a second opportunity against the Red Sox, having lost to them in Miami on June 11. Buehrle had a decent start, going seven innings allowing only two runs on five hits and struck out four batters in the loss.

The Red Sox also enter with a 33-33 record, but have won four of their last six games after being swept by the Nationals. Clay Buchholz (7-2, 5.38 ERA) will take the mound, coming off a seven inning performance against Miami on June 12. In that game he allowed one run on five hits and struck out nine.

If Buehrle is going to rebound from his last performance, he has to find a way to pitch well to Boston's David Ortiz. Ortiz is hitting .350 against Buehrle including eight doubles and two home runs. Buehrle also has to shake off his past woes at Fenway Park, where he is 0-2 with an 8.20 ERA in his last three starts.

Tuesday's game is scheduled for a 7:10 first pitch with television coverage on Fox Sports Florida. Radio coverage will be provided by MAJIC 102.7 FM and WAQI 710 AM.
