The Toronto Blue Jays got the best of the Miami Marlins on Saturday afternoon at Sun Life Stadium by a final score of 7-1.
The Marlins had difficulty generating offense of any kind as Hanley Ramirez, Giancarlo Stanton, Omar Infante and Justin Ruggiano were the only Miami batters to register hits in the ballgame with Ruggiano getting two. Infante drove in the lone run for the Marlins.
The score was tied 1-1 until the top of the ninth inning when the Blue Jays put six runs on the board with the majority of those (four) being given up by pitcher Steve Cishek who is credited with the loss, bringing his record to 4-1 this season.
The Marlins have now lost six consecutive games and are just 2-15 in their last 17 outings.
