It was a back-and-forth affair at Sun Life Stadium on Saturday afternoon, but the Miami Marlins came out on the winning end against the Philadelphia Phillies by a final score of 3-2.
Miami got out to an early 1-0 lead in the bottom of the first, but the Phillies came right back and put a run on the board in the top of the second inning. Miami scored another run in the bottom of the third and the fifth innings to take a 3-1 lead. Philadelphia would add another run in the top of the seventh but it would not be enough.
Giancarlo Stanton led Miami's offense with two RBI's on the day while Mark Buehrle got the win on the mound for the Marlins as pitched seven complete innings while giving up two earned runs and striking out seven Phillies batters.
