The Miami Marlins and Philadelphia Phillies wrap a three game set on Sunday, both teams happy to have the month of June in their rearview mirrors. After going 21-8 in May, the Marlins were a MLB-worst 8-18 in June. The Phillies were only slightly better, notching a 9-19 record in June.
The Marlins will send Ricky Nolasco (6-6, 4.78 ERA) to the hill. Nolasco is winless in his last four starts, but is coming off 6 2/3 innings of no run ball agains the St. Louis Cardinals on Monday.
Joe Blanton (7-6, 4.87 ERA) gets the ball for Philadelphia. The Phillies have won four straight Blanton starts, scoring 8.49 runs per game in those contests.
First pitch is scheduled for 1:10 p.m. EST from Marlins Park in Miami.
