The Miami Marlins and the Arizona Diamondbacks will play two games on Wednesday in a doubleheader caused by a scheduling issue. It is the first doubleheader in Chase Field history.
The first game will feature two highly touted rookies making debuts. For the Marlins, it's Jacob Turner (1-1, 8.03 ERA) who is making his first start for the team after being traded from Detroit in July. Arizona will be countering with Tyler Skaggs, who is making his MLB debut.
In the second game, the Marlins will throw Wade LeBlanc (2-2, 2.50 ERA). Since jumping into the rotation on Aug. 1, LeBlanc has given up just eight runs in four starts.
His opposite number is Wade Miley (13-8, 2.96 ERA). The NL Rookie of the Year candidate pitched against the Marlins on April 29 and allowed just one hit in a win.
The first game begins at 3:40 p.m. ET and the second game is at 9:40 p.m. ET. Both games can seen on Fox Sports Florida.
