Dolphins Vs. Cowboys: Miami Turns Attention To Final Preseason Game

Many players can still increase their playing time with a strong showing against Dallas.

The Miami Dolphins have had an eventful preseason. From HBO's "Hard Knocks" to their quarterback competition to the dismissal of Chad Johnson, few teams have been in the headlines more than the Dolphins. On Wednesday, the team's preseason will come to an end with a trip to Texas to take on the Dallas Cowboys.

Game Time: 8:30 PM, EST

Location: Cowboys Stadium

Players To Watch: Ryan Tannehill, Legedu Naanee, Michael Egnew

Any work in the preseason for a rookie quarterback is beneficial, and Tannehill will have one last chance to refine his skills before it counts for real. The Dallas defense, which is known to blitz often, should provide a solid test for Tannehill.

The biggest obstacle Tannehill might have to overcome this season is a lack of targets to throw to. Outside of Davone Bess, no Dolphins receiver has solidified himself as a starter. Playing time is there for the taking and if Legedu Naanee can raise his performance, he should be in line for plenty of action.

The "Hard Knocks" whipping boy has been rookie tight end Michael Egnew. The coaching staff has not been pleased with his progression, and Egnew will have one last chance to show them what he can do in game action.
