The Marlins and Nationals meet up for the first of a two-game set on Tuesday in Miami. Unfortunately for the Marlins, the Nationals still haven't shut down Stephen Strasburg (15-5, 2.85 ERA), who will take the mound against Miami in the opener.

Strasburg has pitched 27 consecutive scoreless innings against the Marlins, a pattern the Marlins hope to break in this one. Ricky Nolasco (9-12, 5.07 ERA) will handle the starting pitching duties for Miami.

The Marlins are coming off a weekend series against the Dodgers in which they avoided a series sweep on Sunday.
