Marlins Vs. Nationals: Jacob Turner Was Solid In Losing Effort

Even though Jacob Turner had a rough outing against the Nationals on Thursday, the Fish Stripes still recognized his decent overall body of work. Bryce Harper's two-run shot was the play of the game, but aside from that, Turner wasn't bad in the losing effort.

Despite allowing five earned runs in just five innings, Marlins fans had to come out of Jacob Turner's second start encouraged about the young right-hander's future. Yes, Turner allowed two home runs to 19-year old Bryce Harper, but outside of the fourth inning, where Turner allowed four hits out of the six hits he allowed all game, Turner was pretty impressive. That is, outside of another Harper home run in the fifth inning.
