Marlins Vs. Phillies Final Score: Phillies Complete 3-Game Sweep 3-1

The Philadelphia Phillies beat the Miami Marlins 3-1 on Wednesday, completing a three-game sweep. It was the seventh win in a row for Philadelphia, which crept within 3.5 games of an NL Wild Card spot with the win. Jimmy Rollins scored twice and notched three RBIs for the Phillies. Carlos Lee went 2-for-4 with an RBI for Miami.

Starting pitcher Cliff Lee picked up the win for the Phillies. Lee scattered one run across four hits over seven innings. Miami starter Josh Johnson picked up the loss. Johnson pitched solidly, only allowing three runs and four hits in seven innings, but was done in by poor run support. Lee rose to 5-7 on the season, while Johnson fell to 8-12. Jonathan Papelbon picked up his 34th save of the season with a scoreless ninth inning.

The Marlins returns home Friday to start a weekend series against the Cincinnati Reds. Philadelphia travels to Houston tomorrow for a four-game series with the Astros.
