The Brewers started the scoring with a pair of runs in the second inning, but Miami would not trail for long. The Marlins picked up one run in the bottom of the third, then broke through with five runs in the fourth. The Marlins used four RBI singles to pick up those five runs.

The Brewers weren't able to muster the offense necessary to get back into the game after that point, and the Marlins went on to a relatively painless victory.
