Brewers Vs. Marlins Preview, TV Time, Schedule, Probable Pitchers, And More

The Miami Marlins look to earn a split in the finale of a four-game series against the Milwaukee Brewers on Thursday afternoon. The Marlins dropped games on Tuesday and Wednesday to the Brewers after winning the series opener.

Josh Johnson will take the mound for Miami. He is 7-11 with a 3.86 ERA on the season. The right-hander was strong in his last start against the New York Mets, going eight innings while giving up just one run on three hits with four strikeouts. He struggled in his outing against the Brewers this season, getting through just five innings while giving up five runs on July 4.

The Brewers counter with Marco Estrada. The right-hander is 2-5 with a 3.85 ERA in 24 appearances this season, 18 of those have been starts. Estrada performed well against the Pittsburgh Pirates five days ago, pitching seven innings of one-run ball. In his only start this season against the Marlins, coming on July 3, he went six innings, giving up two runs and striking out six.

First Pitch, TV schedule: 12:40 p.m. ET. The game will not be televised in Florida, but will be broadcast on Fox Sports Wisconsin.
