Marlins Vs. Nationals Game Recap: Miami Wins In 8-0 Shutout

Sunday's rubber match between the Marlins and Nationals was the first of the series that didn't require extra innings. That's because Miami won in an 8-0 shutout victory, with Ricky Nolasco leading the way on a four-hit complete game.

Nolasco struck out six batters in the win, but that's not the only area in which he was effective. Nolasco had a game-high two RBIs from his double in the second inning.

Bryan Petersen and Justin Ruggiano plated runs in the fourth inning, while Donovan Solano added to the Marlins' run total in the fifth.

Giancarlo Stanton homered in the seventh inning to give the Marlins a 7-0 lead, before Carlos Lee hit an RBI single that brought in the last run.
