UFC 149: Hector Lombard's Challenge To Mark Munoz Squashed

At the UFC 149 press conference, former Bellator Champion Hector Lombard called out Mark Munoz, wanting to fight Munoz after his bout with Tim Boetsch. It was a curious challenge for Lombard to make, who's riding a 25-fight winning streak, but Dana White quickly nipped the idea in the bud.

"He must not have Fuel TV, because Munoz just lost the other night," White said at the UFC 149 press conference on Thursday afternoon. "If he wins on Saturday, I mean, I don't think he'll be fighting Mark Munoz, he'll be fighting one of the guys at the top of that division, not that Munoz isn't, but Munoz has a loss right now."

The 185-pound division in the UFC is a stacked one, but it's also dominated by Anderson Silva, who seems unbeatable at the moment. Lombard has been tearing through opponents in his weight class, so it would seem he's on a collision course with The Spider, but he does have to actually beat Tim Boetsch on Saturday at UFC 149, first.

Boetsch didn't seem to appreciate being seemingly looked over by Lombard.

"He's in for a big surprise on Saturday night," Boetsch said.
