Magic Fall To Cavs In Overtime 114-111

Despite holding a three-point lead with just over four seconds remaining in regulation, the Orlando Magic fell to the Cleveland Cavaliers in front of 5,219 at the US Bank Arena in Cincinnati Monday night.

Forward Justin Harper scored the first bucket of overtime, but the Cavs then ripped off seven straight points. Another jumper by Harper cut the lead to three. After a Jeremy Pargo turnover, the Magic had the ball back with a chance to tie, but Chris Johnson's jumper wouldn't fall.

Glen Davis led all scorers with 27 points on 9-of-17 shooting. Davis continued his preseason trend of getting to the free throw line, going 9-of-13 from the stripe. Davis also pulled down eight rebounds. Rookie Andrew Nichsolson added 14 points and nine rebounds. J.J. Redick (18), E'Twaun Moore (15) and Nikola Vucevic (10) were also in double figures.

Kyrie Irving led the Cavs with 22 points while C.J. Miles poured in 17. Rookie Tyler Zeller had 10 points and five rebounds.

The Magic will take on the Detroit Pistons at the Palace of Auburn Hills Tuesday night.
