The Orlando Magic wrap up their preseason schedule with a game against the Houston Rockets on Friday night. After starting the preseason 0-4, the Magic have won two of their last three games. The Rockets come in on a two-game winning streak and have won four games during preseason play.
The Magic are making the transition from the Dwight Howard era with a new coaching staff. Orlando made the playoffs in each of the last six years, including an NBA Finals appearance, though 2012-13 is expected to be more of a rebuilding season for the franchise.
The Rockets are coming off a 34-32 season that saw them fall short of the playoffs for the third consecutive season. They have some new faces on the roster this year, including point guard Jeremy Lin. Head coach Kevin McHale is entering his second season with the team.
