Brooklyn absolutely dominated the first quarter, outscoring the Magic 35-17. Orlando's defense played much better in the second quarter, holding the Nets to just 15 second quarter points to cut the lead to 15.
Orlando was led by Arron Afflalo, who started at small forward so J.J. Redick could be inserted into the starting lineup. Afflalo has 13 points, six rebounds and two assists. Glen Davis and Nikola Vucevic have eight points a piece.
The Magic shot just 15-of-44 (34.1%) and have not made a three-pointer (0-of-four).
The Magic have had no answer for Brooklyn's inside game. Brook Lopez has 12 points and two rebounds while Kris Humphries scored eight points and grabbed 13 rebounds in the first half. The Nets outrebounded the Magic 33-20 in the first half.
The Nets are 19-of-46 (41.3%) from the field and five-of-13 from beyond the arc (38.5%).
Point guard Deron Williams has 11 points, four rebounds and three assists.
