The Orlando Magic will look to get back on track when they battle the Atlanta Hawks Monday night. The Magic dropped to 3-6 after a 97-86 loss to the Toronto Raptors Sunday afternoon. The Hawks improved to 4-4 with a 112-96 victory over the Sacramento Kings Friday night.
The Hawks had a major overhaul this offseason sending former franchise cornerstone Joe Johnson to the Brooklyn Nets essentially to help clear their cap.
However, mainstays Al Horford (15.6 points and 8.9 rebounds per game) and Josh Smith (15.6 points, 8.3 rebounds and 2.0 blocks per game) remain, keep the Hawks competitive. The Hawks added Atlanta native Lou Williams to help pick up the scoring slack. Williams is averaging 14.1 points per game, but is shooting just 38.4% from the field.
Magic guard J.J. Redick missed Sunday's game with an illness. His status for Monday's game is up in the air.
